Can you tell us what when through your mind as you signed your first pro contract?

I was super happy to get my first pro contract and felt really fortunate!  I remember even quoting Queen, “Is this the real life, or is this just fantasy”.

When have you felt the most challenged in the sport?

The balance between being happy with where I am and at the same time never being satisfied, I’m always striving for more.

For you, what is the toughest part of the 800m and why?

I don’t like to think of one part tougher than the other. Every part has its own challenges when you think of trying to run faster than ever before! Also having the tactical element in such a high paced race is for sure a part of the 800m that not many recognize before trying to race it themselves. The margins are so small!

Looking ahead to life after athletics, what would you like to do once you retire?

At the moment I don’t have a big dream for what I want to do when I retire. I put all my focus into what I’m doing right now, but questions like this make me think it might be smart to start thinking about it a bit more.

If you could choose a superpower, what would you choose and why?

If I could choose a superpower, it would be to have healing power.

What movie villain do you love?

Can it be from a series? In that case Walter White from Breaking Bad.

When friend come over, what is the meal you love to cook?

Homemade pizza.
